ALGOR is a tool for structural design with an extremely user-friendly graphical environment. It is dedicated to the techncians, non specialists of numerical simulations to create, mesh and compute their products.
NCR compliant and ISO 9001, is available in major languages (english, french, spanish, chinese...) ; it is currently available in English for Windows 98 2nd Edition, 2000, ME, and XP.

ALGOR offers very powerful mesh generators which are running from CAD models ; the surface models are meshed into quad and the volumic models into brick elements.

This software integrates with many CAD systems such as SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Pro/ENGINEER, AutoCAD Mechanical Desktop, CADKEY, and Inventor. It allows designers to analyse their models in their own CAD environment. Using the powerful feature is « Feature Control », ALGOR users can automatically simplify their CAD model in real time and on screen before meshing. ALGOR also has input and output capabilities to import the mesh from or export to other FEA packages.
MES - Mechanical Event Simulation - dynamically replicates the motion and flexing behavior of virtual prototypes on a computer so that engineers of all disciplines and skill levels can understand how their designs will function during real-world operation. MES allows the user to calculate problems like crash, metal forming, (...all the non-linear phenomena that can be calculated by implicit schemes) in the same graphical interface as all other analyses.
The neutral axis can also be derived.
